CTIA – The Wireless Association, the International organization that represents the wireless communications industry, will host the first Super Mobility Week Show in Las Vegas. This year’s show will touch on mobile video, innovation, the connected car, enterprise, music and many other timely topics.
Verizon Wireless President and CEO and current CTIA Chairman, Dan Mead, will kick the show off on Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. PT with a keynote address, including a panel discussion on mobile video. Innovative solutions in this space are increasingly necessary to stay ahead of demand and ensure the speeds and capacity customers are accustomed to remain constant. The panel will address the current and future state of mobile video with panelists including Sean R.H. Bratches of ESPN, Michel Combes of Alcatel-Lucent, and Tim Connolly of Hulu sharing their perspectives.
And throughout the week, Verizon will display its mobile video solutions on the CTIA show floor (booth #2625). The booth will feature LTE Multicast technology. The technology, which we showcased in May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, allows for an efficient use of LTE spectrum and network, delivering the highest quality, always-on video for everyone without buffering. LTE Multicast is engineered to efficiently use spectrum to help ensure there are no capacity issues or bottlenecks associated with delivering the video. Verizon, with its leading 4G LTE network, is developing LTE Multicast with an eye toward the future and meeting customer demand for innovative video solutions.
